What is a re-posted listing?
A re-posted listing is the same or nearly identical job put back up after interviews, a take-home, or a pause — often with a new job ID and a “posted yesterday” stamp. On Ghostedcheck it is a hiring-process pattern, not a finding that the company never intended to hire.
A re-post filing stays held until independent connections describe that same pattern at the same company enough times to meet the live bar. Ghostedcheck does not watch job boards for you and does not confirm that two postings were the same requisition. Recurrence is ranking, not proof.
How to spot it
- The title, bullets, and location come back with a new job ID after you already interviewed.
- The stamp says “posted yesterday” on a role you bookmarked weeks ago.
- The listing disappears after a take-home, then returns unchanged.
- Multiple identical roles sit open at once for a team that is not growing.

What is a re-posted listing?
- The same or nearly identical job was re-posted after interviews or assignments, often with a new requisition number. That can be a frozen search, an evergreen pipeline, or a genuine re-open. Ghostedcheck records first-hand accounts of the cycle. It does not verify the employer’s intent.
If a job comes back, is it automatically a ghost job?
- No. Re-posted listing is its own pattern. A ghost job is a posting with no real intent to hire. File the pattern you actually went through. Public reports still have to meet the recurrence bar, and recurrence is not proof.
How do I report a re-posted listing?
- Name the employer and role as posted, pick Re-posted listing, and describe the process and the later posting — dates help, names of people do not. No account is required. The filing stays held until independent accounts of that pattern meet the live bar.
